Ingredients:
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1/2lb sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 10 oz chopped broccoli (if using frozen broccoli, thaw and drain before adding to dish)
  • 2 cup shredded Cheddar/Monterey cheese
  • 3 cup cooked rice
Instructions:
  1. In large pot, melt the butter with the flour & cook over medium heat until golden in color, resembling the color of peanut butter
  2. Add mushrooms, onion, both garlics, cayenne, cream, & chicken stock
  3. Add broccoli, 1 cup of the cheese, & rice
  4. Mix & season with salt and pepper to taste
  5. Pour into buttered casserole dish, top with remaining cup of cheese & bake in preheated oven at 425°F until cheese is melted and golden (about 20 mins)
