Ingredients:
  • 1 uncooked pie crust
  • 3/4 lb sausage crumbled & cooked
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 small yellow onion, diced
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup half & half or whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  2. Roll out pie crust into pie pan
  3. Top pie crust with sausage, cheese, & onion. You can mix the sausage, cheese, & onion in a medium mixing bowl & then throw into the pie crust or just layer it so it's one less dish to wash
  4. Mix the eggs & half and half in a bowl with seasonings, & pour egg mixture over toppings in the pie crust
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 15 mins. Then reduce heat, leaving the pie in the oven to 350 degrees F & bake for an additional 35 mins. When it is done the top of the quiche will begin to turn a nice golden brown
  6. Remove from oven & allow to site 5-10 mins before serving
