Ingredients:
  • 3-4 lb bottom round beef roast (chuck will work too)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Onion powder
  • 1.74 oz brown gravy mix packets (two .87 oz packets)
  • 1.5 cups water
  • White or sourdough bread
  • Mashed potatoes (instant is what I prefer for quickness)
Instructions:
  1. Place roast into slow cooker
  2. Sprinkle small amount of salt, pepper, & onion powder onto the beef
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the gravy packets & water until smooth, pour over beef
  4. Cover & cook on low for 8-10 hours
  5. When cooking time is done, remove the roast & place it on a plate. Shred meat & discard any fat. Cover with foil to keep warm
  6. De-grease the gravy in the slow cooker (ladle off the grease with a spoon or take a paper towel & lay it on top of the grease & pull off as the grease will stay on the paper towel & the gravy in the slow cooker)
  7. Serve the shredded beef & gravy over bread & mashed potatoes
