Ingredients:
Brownies:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened coco powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Frosting:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 Tbsp buttermilk
  • 2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
  1. Preheat 350. Grease Jelly roll pan.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
  3. In sauce pan - mix water, butter, coco powder.
  4. Bring to boil - then remove from heat.
  5. Add coco mixture to flour mixture. Mix well.
  6. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix on high for 1 minute.
  7. Pour batter into pan.
  8. Bake 25 minutes at 350°F.
Frosting
  1. In sauce pan, add butter, coco powder and buttermilk.
  2. Bring to boil. Remove from heat.
  3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix till smooth.
  4. Pour frosting over warm brownies.
*They freeze well - wrapped individually in plastic wrap.
